If you're an experienced pool technician looking for a new opportunity with a company that values quality work, technical expertise, and customer service, read on! Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Pool Service Technician to handle residential swimming pool equipment, including advanced automation, heating, and saltwater chlorination systems. This position will focus primarily on technical maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation for high-end residential pools. Primary Technical Responsibilities Automation & Controls Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair advanced automation systems, including Jandy iAquaLink, Pentair IntelliCenter, Hayward OmniLogic, & more! Diagnose and repair automated pool controllers and related equipment Install, repair, and replace automated actuators, sensors, and control components Pump Repair & Replacement Diagnose pump and motor failures Replace seals, bearings, motors, and other pump components Install and program variable-speed pumps Set and adjust pump speeds based on pool and equipment requirements Heater & Heat Pump Service Diagnose and repair pool heaters and heat pumps Perform heat exchanger cleaning, temperature calibration, pressure checks, and other necessary service Remove and install new pool heaters Modify existing PVC plumbing as needed for new heater installations Salt System Diagnosis & Repair Troubleshoot complex salt system issues, including "Check Salt," "Inspect Cell," and "No Flow" errors Perform salt cell cleaning and inspection Diagnose sensors, control boards, and other system components Calibrate and repair salt chlorination systems Hydraulics & Plumbing Install and modify PVC plumbing and equipment manifolds Repair and maintain PVC manifolds, multi-port valves, check valves, and motorized diverter valves Diagnose and repair plumbing leaks Ensure plumbing systems are properly installed and operating efficiently Required Qualifications Valid Driver's License - Required 3-5+ years of professional swimming pool service, repair, and installation experience Strong understanding of pool hydraulics and basic electrical principles Experience working with 110V/220V pool equipment wiring Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex pool equipment issues Neat, clean, and professional appearance Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and confidently in residential settings Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 100 lbs Available to work Monday-Friday ; Saturdays during busy season; Overtime is available Preferred Qualifications Active Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification NESPA and/or PHTA certifications Factory-trained certifications from Jandy, Pentair, or Hayward Experience with high-end residential pool automation, heating, and salt systems
