Role Description The Optical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochester, NY. This position involves working with optical components and systems, including handling, inspecting, and assembling lenses, optical fibers, and related materials according to established procedures. Daily tasks include operating laboratory and manufacturing equipment, performing measurements and quality checks, documenting test results, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. The Optical Technician collaborates with engineers and other technicians to support production, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. The role also requires clear communication with team members, adherence to safety and quality standards, and willingness to learn new technologies and processes in optical manufacturing.
