Job Description

Full Service Technician - Weekend Sunbelt Solomon United States, Pennsylvania, Sharon 700 South Dock Street (Show on map) Aug 25, 2026 The Full-Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of Substation transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role. The hours for the position are Friday-Sunday 12-hour shifts (5:00AM - 5:30PM) with guaranteed 40 hours. Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.
Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
Reconditioning and reassembly substation transformers will include but is not limited to cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs.
Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation.
Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
Usage of overhead crane and other material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
Other assigned duties as needed.
HS Diploma/GED preferred.
Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
OSHA10 certification preferred
Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
Ability to read and interpret work orders.
Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
Adheres to the company's employee handbook policies and embodies the organization's core values.
Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.
Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following: Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
Standing and walking for long durations
Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time
Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
