Saddle Repair Technician Stübben North America - Troy, Virginia Full-Time Position Stübben is looking for a Saddle Repair Technician to join our North American team in Troy, Virginia. Founded in 1894, Stübben is a family-owned company with more than 130 years of experience designing and manufacturing premium saddles and leather goods for English equestrian sport. Our products are manufactured in Europe, while repairs, service, and adjustments for the North American market are performed at our headquarters in Troy, VA. This is a hands-on position that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern tools and techniques. Previous leatherworking or saddle repair experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are prepared to train the right person and teach the specialized skills needed to become a Stübben saddle repair technician. Responsibilities As part of our repair center, you will learn and perform a variety of saddle repair and service tasks, including: Hand stitching leather Machine stitching leather Flocking and adjusting saddle panels using wool Cutting, shaping, and working with leather Using pneumatic and small power tools Inspecting saddles and assisting with quality control Diagnosing repair and service requirements Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop Maintaining inventory of leather, hardware, and repair parts Ordering repair parts and workshop supplies as needed Completing repair documentation and creating invoices Limited communication with customers and Stübben saddle fitters regarding repairs Preparing completed repairs for return shipment What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys craftsmanship and takes satisfaction in producing precise, high-quality work.

Strong mechanical and technical aptitude Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to grasp, manipulate, fit, and assemble small parts and components Strong attention to detail and quality Good visual judgment and the ability to recognize symmetry and alignment Ability and willingness to learn new technical and craft skills Organized and dependable work habits Self-motivated and able to work independently Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workplace Physical stamina and ability to perform hands-on workshop tasks throughout the day Previous experience in leatherworking, upholstery, sewing, woodworking, automotive repair, manufacturing, or another hands-on trade is helpful but not required. We are more interested in finding someone with the right aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn than someone who already knows how to repair saddles. Training & Career Development Stübben will provide training in the specialized skills required to inspect, service, and repair our saddles. Our goal is to develop the successful candidate into a skilled saddle repair technician who can independently perform increasingly complex repairs and service work.
