Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Telecom Client Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional telecommunications solutions to our clients. In this role, you will be the frontline expert responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of telecommunication systems and equipment. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication services for our clients, supporting their operational needs with precision and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving fiber optic systems, network wiring, and telephony systems, all while providing outstanding customer service and technical support. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems including VoIP, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Avaya communication platforms. Conduct fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission. Perform structured cabling installation using Cat5, Cat6 cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring in accordance with NEC standards. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and telecommunications testing equipment to identify and resolve system issues efficiently. Maintain and repair network infrastructure including Ethernet cabling, network wiring, and equipment termination. Support field service operations by diagnosing electrical problems in AC/DC electrical systems and utilizing hand tools and power tools for repairs. Assist with the setup of computer hardware, network installation, radio frequency (RF) testing, and equipment troubleshooting to optimize system performance. Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and industry regulations while delivering excellent customer service throughout every interaction. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or field technician specializing in telecommunications or IT infrastructure. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic systems installation, and telecommunications testing equipment. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet protocols, and network cabling practices. Familiarity with telecommunication systems such as VoIP platforms, Avaya systems, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and related hardware. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues using diagnostic tools effectively. Experience working with structured cabling installation projects involving Cat5/Cat6 cables and low-voltage electrical wiring. Electrical experience including working with low-voltage electrical wiring, NEC standards compliance, and electrical safety protocols. Service technician background with excellent customer service skills in fast-paced environments involving data center or telecommunication projects is highly desirable.
