Our Field Operations team installs, maintains, and troubleshoots broadband equipment at customer premises and infrastructure sites. We focus on safe work practices, reliable service quality, clear communication, and accurate field documentation. Job Description Wireless Installation Technician - Winnemucca, NV As an Internet Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless internet and fixed wireless broadband equipment for residential and commercial customers. You'll work with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, low-voltage cabling, routers, radios, and related network equipment while performing field service, installation, testing, and service repairs throughout the Winnemucca, Nevada area.
What You Will Do:
Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot fixed wireless internet equipment at homes and businesses. Conduct site surveys for line of sight, signal conditions, mounting locations, cable routes, power, and feasibility. Mount and align radios, antennas, routers, access points, switches, grounding components, and related equipment. Route, terminate, label, test, and protect Ethernet and low-voltage cabling. Diagnose wireless, Wi-Fi, cabling, power, and network issues using field test data. Perform upgrades, replacements, relocations, preventive maintenance, and restorations. Follow ladder, fall-protection, aerial-lift, electrical-awareness, vehicle, traffic-control, and PPE requirements. Document work and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
What You Will Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Technical aptitude, mechanical ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn broadband technology. Basic IP networking, Wi-Fi, Ethernet cabling, and troubleshooting knowledge, or ability to learn through training. Safe use of hand/power tools, ladders, cable testers, alignment tools, and mobile apps. Strong customer service, communication, documentation, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to complete assigned aerial-lift, fall-protection, ladder, vehicle, CPR/first-aid, and other safety training. Related field-service or low-voltage experience preferred; Tarana, Ubiquiti, Mimosa, Cambium, RADWIN, MikroTik, Calix, or similar equipment experience is a plus.
What You Will Experience:
Work is generally performed at customer homes and businesses, company facilities, rooftops, rural properties, infrastructure sites, and outdoor worksites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, crouch, kneel, pull cable, drill, and use tools for extended periods. Work from ladders, rooftops, approved aerial-lift equipment, attics, crawlspaces, and other hot, dusty, confined, or difficult-access areas. Frequently lift and carry tools, ladders, cable, and equipment; occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Drive company vehicles and safely load and unload equipment.
