Experienced Small Engine Technician Burns Rent-Alls, Inc. 4th Generation Family-Owned & Operated Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have specialized training and hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining outdoor power equipment powered by Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Kawasaki, and Honda engines. You will work in a fast-paced environment ensuring high-quality repairs and excellent customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair 2-stroke and 4-stroke small engines. Service equipment including lawnmowers, tractors, commercial mowers, generators, and handheld power tools. Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, tune-ups, fuel system flushes, and blade sharpening. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Utilize manufacturer software and manuals for parts ordering and warranty claims. Maintain a clean and safe workspace. Qualifications & Skills Certified or factory-trained in Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Kawasaki, and Honda engines (preferred but not required). Minimum 2+ years of professional small engine repair experience. Strong troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of fuel injection and carbureted systems. Experience working on commercial lawn equipment, zero-turn mowers, ECHO products, or Scag equipment is a major plus.
