We are seeking a Marine Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of marine propulsion systems and equipment. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of marine vessels by applying your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to complex mechanical issues. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues related to marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Document all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide expert advice and technical support to customers regarding maintenance schedules and best practices for vessel operation. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve service offerings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications Required:
Experience as a marine mechanic, mechanic or in a related field, with a proven track record of successful repairs and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of marine engine systems, including outboard, inboard, and diesel engines.
Preferred:
Certifications in marine mechanics or relevant technical training. Experience with marine electrical systems, including navigation and communication equipment. Familiarity with marine safety regulations and environmental compliance. Experience working with a variety of boat types, including personal watercraft, fishing boats, and yachts. Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting marine systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with marine engines and systems. Knowledge of hydraulics, fuel systems, and electrical systems specific to marine applications. Soft Skills and Cultural Fit Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to safety and quality assurance in all work performed.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
