We are seeking a dedicated and professional team member who can work safely, put the customer first, and meet time-sensitive service and repair goals. Company Overview At East End Power Equipment & Hardware, we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer experience and the highest quality mechanical work. We currently service a variety of major brands from Toro, Ariens, Stihl, Craftsman, John Deere, Echo and more. We currently repair single-stage and two-stage snowblowers, push mowers, riding mowers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, generators, rototillers and more. Position Description The Service Department Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the service department, including performing maintenance and repairs on all types of equipment received from customers for work. The Service Department Lead is responsible for helping the service department operations run efficiently and be looking for ways to improve processes and practices. Responsibilities Providing high quality repairs to small engine equipment, chain and blade sharpening, window and screen repair, and more. Customer service including receiving equipment from customers and understanding what their repair concerns are, calling customers to update them on the status of their equipment, building invoices including detailed descriptions of work performed and receiving payment from customers. Logistical management of the flow of work in the shop. Diagnostics, parts identification, and parts ordering. Coordination of pickup and delivery of equipment. Meeting key shop performance and productivity goals. Sales floor coverage from time-to-time. Forklift operation / loading and unloading of pallets from trucks Requirements & Other Details Required Must be at least 18 years of age Required High School Diploma or GED Required 2 years of mechanical experience (4+ years preferred) Required Certified small engine mechanic Required Computer Literate (for navigation shop software, parts lookup, and ordering, etc) Required Self-motivated, organized, high attention to detail, and reliable Position is paid hourly with anticipated 30-35 hours/week (future opportunity for full-time) Salary is based on experience/qualifications Subject to random drug testing Interested?
