In this role, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, and finishing sturdy crates and custom wood packaging solutions to meet client specifications. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction techniques will ensure the safe and efficient creation of high-quality crates for a variety of industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the protection and transportation of valuable goods. Our client specializes in manufacturing custom lamps and lighting fixtures for high-profile customers, including restaurants such as The Cheesecake Factory and luxury properties such as the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas. We are seeking a skilled Crate Builder to construct custom wooden shipping crates that protect these valuable products during transportation.

Key HighlightsBuild custom crates for high-end lamps and lighting fixtures of various sizes.

Work from 3D drawings and dimensional specifications.

Construct protective wooden crates to ensure safe transportation and delivery.

Use woodworking and assembly skills to build durable shipping solutions.

Utilize saws, staple guns, measuring tools, and other hand and power tools.

Assist with framing, product assembly, and basic wiring preparation as needed.

Opportunity to work on products destined for nationally recognized restaurants and hospitality clients.

Temp-to-hire position with long-term growth potential. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, or woodworking Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines Experience with residential carpentry, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or drywall installation is a plus Familiarity with construction plans, technical drawings, and interpreting technical specifications Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites or workshops Knowledge of construction site safety protocols including power tool safety standards Prior experience in the restoration industry or remodeling projects is advantageous Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in assembly and fixture installation tasks.
