C&K is hiring installers for our commercial architectural metal crews. This is not straight hourly pay where the fast guy and the slow guy make the same money. Our jobs have labor dollars attached to them. Get quality work installed efficiently and you earn more. What We Install Coping and fascia Flashing and trim Wall panels Gutters and downspouts Equipment screens Other commercial sheet metal We work on commercial and residential projects in central Iowa. C&K has its own fabrication shop in Ames, including the capability to produce custom architectural metal and parts up to 20 feet long. You Don't Have to Be a Sheet Metal Guy Architectural metal experience is great, but we'll also talk to people coming from: Commercial roofing Siding Metal buildings Framing Construction Gutters Exterior finish work If you can read a tape, use tools, figure things out and work , we can teach the metal. Pay Works Simple:

The job has a labor value. Your crew completes the work. The crew earns the labor money. Get good work done efficiently = better earnings. Lead Installers get a bigger share because they're responsible for running the crew and getting the job done right. As your skill and responsibility increase, your share can increase too. What We're Looking For You should be able to: Show up every day and be ready to work Work outside in Iowa weather Work from roofs, ladders and lifts Use hand and power tools Measure accurately Think through field problems Work hard without somebody constantly pushing you Take pride in clean, finished work If you can read plans and details, even better. Schedule Monday-Friday Typically 7:00 AM-3:45 PM Work is in central Iowa. Some overtime, weekends or overnight travel may happen depending on the project.
