Position Summary:
As a Truss Builder at Scherer Bros. Lumber Co., you will play a vital role in constructing roof and floor trusses to meet customer specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, a team-oriented attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and assemble trusses according to blueprints, plans, and engineering specifications. Operate various tools and machinery, such as saws, drills, and pneumatic equipment, to cut and assemble truss components. Ensure all products meet quality control standards and customer specifications. Work closely with team members to maintain a productive, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints or plans. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for long periods of time. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
