Overview As a Cabinet Designer & Drafter, you'll turn project concepts into clear, buildable cabinet designs and drawings. You'll collaborate with design and construction teams to develop layouts, create 2D plans and 3D models, and prepare construction detail documentation.
Your impact:
Accurate, code-aware drawings help installers and project teams build cabinets that fit the space and meet project requirements. Responsibilities Create cabinet layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings using CAD software and 3D CAD modeling tools. Develop and revise designs based on project specifications, site conditions, and team feedback. Coordinate drawings and models with interior design, system design, and mechanical design needs. Review plans for building code compliance and flag conflicts or missing details. Organize design files and communicate revisions clearly to project stakeholders. Requirements Experience with drafting, construction detail documentation, and construction projects. Working knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software; experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks is relevant. Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools and building code analysis. Additional relevant tools may include 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, ArchiCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
