Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Frame Builder specializing in furniture to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality frames that serve as the foundation for various furniture pieces. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction techniques will ensure the durability and aesthetic appeal of our products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction plans, blueprint reading, and the safe operation of power tools and woodworking machinery. Duties Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately build furniture frames according to specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and secure wood and metal framing components using hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking. Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently to produce precise frame components. Install fixtures, moldings, siding, and trim elements to enhance structural integrity and visual appeal. Perform heavy lifting and material handling to move raw materials and finished frames safely within the workspace. Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to design standards. Assist with remodeling projects, restoration industry tasks, or reinstallation of furniture components as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to power tool safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on complex assembly tasks such as cabinetry installation or rebar placement in structural elements. Support other construction-related activities including caulking, plastering, siding installation, or mold remediation when required. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings related to furniture or structural framing. Extensive hands-on experience with carpentry, woodworking techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Background in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, or related construction fields. Familiarity with wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and composite panels. Knowledge of woodworking machines including saws, drills, sanders, and joiners. Experience working on construction sites or in workshop environments with exposure to heavy lifting and safety standards. Prior involvement in remodeling projects or restoration work within the industry is advantageous. Ability to perform fixture installation, cabinet assembly, rebar installation (if applicable), caulking, siding work, or mold remediation tasks confidently. Demonstrated handyman skills with a focus on precision assembly and finishing touches. This role offers an engaging environment where craftsmanship meets innovation.
