This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in woodworking, construction, and fabrication while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a key contributor, you will assist with various stages of cabinet production, from framing and assembly to finishing touches, ensuring each project meets our high standards of craftsmanship and precision. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the construction and woodworking industry. Responsibilities Assist with reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to support accurate cabinet fabrication. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, including saws, drills, sanders, and other equipment safely and effectively. Support the assembly of cabinet components, including framing, trimming, and installing hardware. Prepare wood construction materials by measuring, cutting, sanding, and finishing as needed for various projects. Help with installation tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, siding, and trim carpentry on-site or in the workshop. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety standards. Follow all safety protocols related to power tool use, heavy lifting, and construction site procedures to ensure a safe workplace for everyone. Requirements Prior experience or training in construction estimating, blueprint reading, or carpentry is highly desirable. Familiarity with woodworking machines, hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and metal stud framing techniques. Knowledge of construction plans related to cabinetry, framing, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying or remodeling projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or installation tasks. Strong understanding of power tool safety practices and proper handling of wood construction materials. Construction site experience or residential carpentry background is preferred; experience in restoration or remodeling industries is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions.
