Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Exhibit Fabricator / Custom Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming design concepts into high-quality, visually compelling exhibit displays and custom installations. Your craftsmanship, technical skills, and creativity will bring to life engaging exhibits for museums, trade shows, corporate events, and retail environments. Duties Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately build exhibit components and custom displays Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, metalworking, and assembly to craft precise exhibit elements Measure, cut, assemble, and install various materials including wood, metal studs, drywall, siding, trim, and other wood construction materials Operate woodworking machines safely to shape and finish components according to specifications Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure builds meet aesthetic and structural standards Perform heavy lifting and physical assembly of large exhibit structures on-site or in the shop Install fixtures, display, interactive components, cabinetry, and other custom features as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety protocols and industry safety standards Skills Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, chisels; power tools for woodworking; and woodworking machines like table saws or sanders Understanding of construction plans related to restoration projects or remodeling efforts within the industry a plus, but not required Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship Skilled in assembly tasks such as fixture installation or custom cabinetry building Good physical stamina for demanding tasks involving lifting (50 lbs min.) and prolonged standing or walking Join us in creating stunning exhibits that captivate audiences!
