Filler Operator Lead Ontario, CA About the
Role:
Taylor Farms Southern California, Inc. is the newest member of the Taylor Fresh Foods, Inc. family of companies. Taylor Fresh Foods, Inc. is dedicated to being North America's favorite maker of salads, healthy fresh foods and salad dressings. Our "Taylor Family" is passionate about making high quality, great tasting products for families across North America. The Filler Lead oversees packaging of products and prepares products for shipping. Responsible for following all Allergen Controls, Food Safety & Sanitation, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures relating to job duties.
Pay Range:
$23.00/ hr

OT Key Responsibilities:
Follow all Safety, Allergen Controls, Food Safety & Sanitation, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures relating to job duties. Perform all duties and responsibilities of the Operator position. Remove used film rolls and load new rolls of film onto the packing line. Thread and rethread film as needed when film breaks or jams occur. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make machine adjustments to maintain efficient operation. Conduct quality checks on product seals, weights, and date codes to ensure compliance with specifications. Distribute required production paperwork and labels to operators. Operate a pallet jack to move crates, pallets, and products in and out of the production area. Coordinate and rotate operator breaks and lunch periods to maintain production coverage. Monitor and maintain production lines to ensure continuous and efficient operation. Verify and document production downtime. Track and record product weights and production data accurately. Lead and oversee the Clean-in-Place (CIP) process to ensure sanitation requirements are met. Communicate regularly with the warehouse regarding finished product availability and movement. Support production goals by maintaining workflow, safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Fahrenheit Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in food or chemical compounding, mixing, or batching processes.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety standards.
  • Knowledge of ingredient handling, weighing, and mixing processes.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and Chemical Handling.
  • Ability to read and interpret batch records, formulas, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Skilled in operating mixers, pumps, scales, pallet jacks, and other compounding equipment.
  • Basic understanding of quality control tests (e.g., pH, Brix, moisture, viscosity).
  • Experience using tablets or computers to enter data and complete documentation.
Physical demands and abilities:
Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 60lbs Ability to be able to bend twist, stoop, squat, and pivot. Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hour shifts.
