Responsibilities Responsible for compliance with all requirements of the packer position, in addition the responsibilities of production technician. Responsible for the verification of weights of packages, packaged and sealed condition of the final product, the temperature of the packages and cooling conveyors are within spec., the code printed on the package, the operation of metal detectors by using metal detector verification cards and correct filling of the forms that apply to you. DUTIES The duties of this position are those described below. This job description does not state or imply that the duties listed are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management. Essential Duties These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position. Uses Food Safety work practices ensuring no product are contaminated as consequence of conducting duties by this position. Report any condition or act that may place product at risk of being contaminated with foreign material. Enforce company policies (attendance, safety, food safety GMP'S, etc.) procedures and regulations as indicated in the departmental Quality System Notify the supervisor or lead person in charge about any defect with the tortilla or problems with the equipment Maintain the work area clean and organized Count manually the tortilla as often as required, tortillas must be straightening so they have a uniform appearance. Verify the correct operation of metal detector is functional using the metal detector cards required by the quality department and the customer. Check the temperature of the packages and cooling rooms, according to the required frequency. Record the weights of the packages and count the tortillas in the package and/or capture data in the "Computer". Ensure proper operation of check weigher and reject system is operational for specific finished product. An evaluation at the end of the process of checking the packet to see if this is within the required specifications. Attend meetings, safety meetings or training that the company makes. Report any accident no matter how minor. Report any anomaly concerning security guards. Do not leave your position until you have been revealed by another employee. Carry out the activities described in the quality plans and work instructions. Become familiar and ensure compliance with Yum! Brands quality standards and KPIs. Issue and collect assigned work tools at the beginning and end of each shift, respectively, ensuring that all tools are accounted for and properly maintained. Tools may include, but are not limited to, rulers, thermometers, stopwatches, knives, and other tools required to perform assigned duties. Perform metal detector verification checks in accordance with the applicable Quality Department procedures, including the required frequency, verification method, and documentation requirements. Collect and properly replace the tongs in the designated counter-stackers, ensuring that the required equipment is available and properly positioned for operation. Complete the production board daily with all information required by the applicable departmental procedures and work instructions, ensuring that the information recorded is accurate, complete, and current. Perform the packaging process control activities in accordance with the applicable procedures and work instructions. These activities include, but are not limited to, verifying product dates and codes, performing cooling conveyor retention checks, measuring chip and tortilla dimensions, inspecting packaging materials, and completing the required documentation. Perform the required metal detector verification when product is being reworked, in accordance with the applicable Quality Department procedure, and document the verification as required. Print the package weight report at the required two-hour frequency and follow up on the results in accordance with the supervisor's instructions and applicable procedures. Print the applicable process parameters for the product currently in production, perform the required safety inspection, and provide the completed information to the assigned operator in accordance with established procedures. Review all required production and quality documentation to verify that it is properly completed, accurate, and legible; ensure that required documentation is complete at the end of the shift and file the documentation in accordance with established departmental procedures. Balancing:
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
Stooping:
Bending body downward and forward bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Kneeling:
Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on level surface.
Crouching:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) with full extension of elbow in any direction.
Standing:
To maintain entire body in erect posture without changing location.
Walking:
To move entire body for some distance, moving about on foot.
Pushing:
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling:
Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Fingering:
Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole arm as in handling.
Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling:
Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Hearing:
The act or power of apprehending sound, directions or instructions.
Vision:
Visual inspection of areas to be cleaned.
Repetitive motions:
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects Environmental conditions the employee will be subject to in this position. (Check ALL that apply.) Inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Noise:
There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
Hazard:
Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

Starting Hourly Pay:
