The Assistant Distiller will play a key role in assisting with equipment operation, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols, contributing directly to our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Assist in the operation and monitoring of distillation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance Support sanitation efforts by maintaining cleanliness of all production areas, including tanks, pipes, and machinery Help troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines to uphold food safety standards Participate in material handling activities such as loading raw ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products using appropriate equipment like forklifts and material handling carts Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure product consistency and adherence to specifications Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and proper storage of raw materials and finished goods Support safety protocol adherence by wearing proper PPE, following safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks, and reporting hazards immediately Skills Strong understanding of sanitation practices essential for beverage manufacturing environments Knowledge of HACCP, CGMP, and food safety standards within food & beverage production settings Mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting equipment issues in a manufacturing or brewery setting Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently, including brewing systems, packaging lines, forklifts, and material handling equipment Basic math skills for measurements, recipe adjustments, and quality testing procedures Familiarity with industrial chemical handling and safety protocols related to chemical use in production processes Experience with heavy lifting, manual handling, and warehouse operations in a food or beverage industry environment Demonstrated team leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and communication within a manufacturing team Knowledge of brewing processes, packaging operations, and beverage production best practices Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality assurance and food safety throughout all stages of production Join us as an Assistant Distiller to be part of a passionate team dedicated to crafting exceptional spirits.
