Think of the mixing facility as the recipe-making part of the rubber manufacturing process. Natural rubber comes into the plant as a raw material. It then moves through different stages where specific chemicals and other ingredients are added and mixed into the rubber. By the end of the process, the material comes out in strips or sheets of compounded rubber that meet a specific formula and are ready to be sent to Vibracoustic molding plants. This job is very hands-on and requires you to follow the recipe, safety procedures, and quality requirements every time. The primary responsibility of the Production Operator is to provide customers with the highest quality parts possible through repetitious manufacturing, removal, assembly or inspection of parts following plant procedures, job instructions, quality standards and manufacturing specifications at each work area. In this entry level role, the incumbent will work under regular supervision of others and is expected to raise questions or concerns as needed to learn their areas of responsibility and produce a quality product.
