Job Description

About Us:
At North American Vinegar Company, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality vinegar products to satisfy our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Vinegar Production Operator to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of our vinegar production processes.
Job Summary:
The Vinegar Production Operator will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of vinegar by: Unloading/Loading tanker trucks, monitoring fermentation of the vinegar, testing our product with lab equipment, filtration, and dilutions. The role involves operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor fermentation, blending, and filtration equipment. Adjust and control production variables (temperature, pH, etc.) to ensure optimal product quality. Oversee the fermentation process, ensuring that the right balance of ingredients and conditions is maintained. Perform routine inspections of production equipment and machinery to ensure proper functionality and prevent breakdowns. Adhere to strict quality control standards and conduct necessary testing of vinegar batches. Maintain accurate production logs and documentation, ensuring traceability of all batches. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, production areas, and surrounding facilities in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any production issues. Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with OSHA guidelines. Perform regular inventory checks of raw materials and finished products, reporting any shortages to management. Ability to perform maintenance on pumps, sensors, valves and flow meters.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (a degree or certification in food science or a related field is a plus). Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing, preferably vinegar production or fermentation processes is a plus. Strong understanding of quality control and sanitation procedures. Ability to operate production equipment and troubleshoot technical issues. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks as required (lifting, standing for extended periods, etc.). Proficient in MS Word and Excel. Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods and work in a production environment. Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents safely.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
