We are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Centralia, WA. The SPT will support sterile processing and surgical services, including instrument decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, and preparation of surgical equipment. The position requires at least 1 year of sterile processing experience and community hospital experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform sterile processing, decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. Assemble and organize instrument sets, trays, and case carts according to preference cards. Perform aseptic technique and proper labeling and wrapping procedures. Monitor sterilization processes using biological and chemical indicators. Perform steam sterilization, IUSS, and Sterrad testing/monitoring. Process instruments and specialty equipment for OR procedures, including orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, OB/GYN, vascular, urology, robotic, and other specialties. Perform manual cleaning and operate ultrasonic cleaners and washers/sterilizers. Reprocess flexible endoscopes, cystoscopes, and uteroscopes. Maintain equipment documentation and follow sterile processing procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing Technician experience . Community hospital experience required. CBSPD or CRCST certification required. Experience in acute hospital OR sterile processing . Must be willing to work every third weekend and participate in required call. Travelers must be willing to float to nearby sister facilities if required. Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel contract. LAL01
