Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe/Screw Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe and/or screw machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, quality control, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. We service many different industries, including our own product line. We work in a high run, efficient manner, dealing with tight tolerances, but also do prototype parts and small runs. We currently operate two shifts, allowing us to accommodate anyone seeking part-time evening work. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe/screw machines according to specifications. Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements. Perform quality control checks on finished products using precision measuring tools. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning. Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Skills Proficient in machining processes, particularly with CNC lathes/Screw machines Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in CNC operations. Experience using hand tools and measuring instruments for quality control. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Pay:
$18.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
