Job Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist / Machine Operator, where you will play a vital role in producing high-precision metal components using advanced CNC equipment. As a key contributor, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines such as lathes and mills, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and accuracy. Responsibilities Operate CNC machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts according to technical specifications. Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance. Program CNC machines utilizing G-code and M-code languages, including CAM programming for complex parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and tolerances. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments to verify part quality. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CNC machinist or machine operator. Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Skilled in using machining tools including manual tools, power tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform machine setup accurately and conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote efficient production workflows. Preferred Qualifications Ability to program CNC machines utilizing G-code and M-code languages, including CAM programming for complex parts. Ability to create drawings and models in CAD software. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote efficient production workflows. Compensation and Benefits Pay is $30-$50 per hour, based on experience and skills.
