Full-time | First or Second Shift About the Opportunity Key Staffing is recruiting an experienced CNC / Progressive Press Operator for an established metal manufacturing operation in the Visalia area. This is a high-priority opportunity for a technically skilled operator who can confidently operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust advanced production machinery. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with Amada equipment, progressive presses, CNC programming, CNC machining, or other technically advanced metalworking machinery . Direct Amada experience is highly preferred but is not required. Candidates with strong transferable experience and the technical aptitude to learn proprietary equipment are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor progressive press or CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment. Program, adjust, and make necessary corrections to equipment based on production requirements. Read and interpret production specifications, measurements, drawings, and CAD-related information. Inspect completed materials to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards. Recognize equipment, tooling, or material issues before production quality is compromised. Stop production when necessary to prevent damage, defects, or safety concerns. Troubleshoot machine and production issues with increasing independence. Make appropriate equipment adjustments and assist with reprogramming when required. Monitor tooling performance and communicate repair or maintenance needs. Complete required production and quality documentation accurately. Follow all established safety, quality, and operating procedures. Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, tooling, and other production employees. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Participate in cross-training and ongoing equipment training as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Approximately five or more years of relevant manufacturing experience is preferred. Experience in one or more of the following areas: o Amada equipment o Progressive press operation o CNC machine operation or programming o Machining or machine-shop operations o Metal press operations o CAD or related programming environments o Advanced manufacturing or production machinery Direct Amada or progressive press experience is strongly preferred. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to identify, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment or production problems. Ability to read and understand measurements, production specifications, and technical information. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to remain focused and aware while monitoring production equipment. Sound judgment and the confidence to stop production when something is incorrect. Willingness and ability to learn specialized or proprietary machinery. Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a background check.
Schedule Available schedules may include:
First Shift:
Approximately 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. During busier summer production periods, the schedule may begin earlier, such as 5:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Second Shift:
Approximately 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Second-shift availability is preferred; however, first-shift candidates with exceptional qualifications are encouraged to apply. Saturday overtime may be available based on production needs and is generally voluntary. Compensation Compensation starts at approximately $30.00 per hour and will be based on the candidate's experience, technical capabilities, and equipment knowledge. Candidates with extensive Amada, progressive press, CNC programming, or advanced troubleshooting experience may be considered above the stated starting rate. Why Consider This Opportunity?
