Role:

M&S Machine & Tool Co., Inc. is looking for a skilled CNC Setup Operator to join our team in West Haven, CT. Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision machined parts Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding equipment Input, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) as needed Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Monitor machine performance and make offset adjustments to maintain tight tolerances Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards

Requirements:

Proven experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines in a production or job shop environment Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and GD&T Working knowledge of G-code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc) Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and inspection equipment Ability to work independently and manage setups with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and tight tolerances Experience with a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel preferred Reliable, punctual, and a strong team-oriented attitude
