CNC Machine Technician Our client in Suwanee, Ga has an immediate opening for a CNC Machine Technician.

Responsibilities:

Simultaneously operate multiple CNC milling & lathe machines; automated robot cells, gear hob, shave, shape, & precision grinding machines; load & unload, deburr & clear product, fixture part & 100% check Key Product Characteristics to part print. Perform deburr operations using deburr tools, grinding wheels, drill presses, or hand drills Use calipers, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauges, and other tools to measure and maintain part quality Adjust machine CNC program based on results of measurements, adjust to blueprint tolerance, enter zero & reference points, set tool registers & offsets Troubleshoot machine errors & malfunctions; perform minor machine repairs to bushings, bearing, tool pods, pumps, filters, proxy sensors, air & hydraulic lines Change tools, drills, inserts, & cutters as needed; sharpen cutter tools Setup machines, including utilizing tool presetter, install tool holders & cutters; install & adjust jaws, v-blocks, fixture, chucks, collets, & automatic pallet loaders. Measure and adjust these fixtures to specification. Utilize high-tech measurement machines CMM, GMM, Stress-Tech to verify first article dimensions after setup to release process for production Proof new product CNC machine programs, fixtures, & tools. Load programs into CNC & optimize for peak performance. Gather team production job paperwork, router, production log, quality inspection log, tool list, & CAD blueprints; track & report safety, productivity, scrap, tooling, and other measures; maintain production logs Maintain product production lot control; perform movements of raw material, WIP, & finished goods Perform machine preventive maintenance & startup procedures; warm-up spindles & axis; perform end-of-day machine shutdown procedures; clean chips, debris, & sludge from machine, empty chip container; cleaning & adjust coolant, oil, & hydraulics Support world class quality standards by tightly adhering ISO procedures, adhere to Statistical Process Control, Key Product Characteristic tolerances, gauge calibration scheduled Perform safety & 5S audits, report all near misses or other incidents, identify & implement root cause solutions Performs assigned duties in accordance with the Environmental Management System (EMS), follows applicable environmental procedures, and reports environmental concerns or incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

Must have experience setup & operating CNC Lathes and/or CNC Mills specifically machining metal alloy parts, performing turning, drilling, milling, reaming, tapping, grinding, and other processes in a CNC Mill or Lathe. Must be able to read & interpret blueprints & CAD models of products, understand tolerances, transfer to machine data Have experience using mechanic tools, blasting machine, hydraulic press, deburr tools, and other tools Maintain LEAN manufacturing environment, 5S standards, and participate in continuous improvement projects Ability to multitask and manage time between simultaneous projects Have high levels of organization, self-discipline, attention to detail, and follow Standard Work requirements Enjoy working with others in a team environment Ability to train, lead, and coach other team members

Shift:

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm Ability to move to 2nd or 3rd shift after a few months is preferred
