1st Shift ONLY (6am-3pm) - CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, professional, and detail-oriented 1st Shift CNC Machine Operator (Level 1 or Level 2) to join our manufacturing team. This role is dedicated to operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery during the daytime shift from approximately 6am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, with OT as needed. As a key contributor to our production process, you will ensure precision machining, uphold our high-quality standards, and support efficient workflow within a dynamic and friendly manufacturing environment. Your knowledge in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanics will be vital in delivering high-quality components on time and within dimensional specifications. Responsibilities Operate CNC milling machines, lathes and/or other machining equipment with precision and safety awareness. Be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD (Computer-Aided Design). Be able to program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters as needed. Able to perform routine inspections of quality-machined parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct tooling changes, machine calibrations, and basic maintenance to maintain continuous production flow, as needed. Handle all materials and finished products safely and efficiently. Follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining a clean and organized work area on the factory floor. Experience 3-5 years' operating CNC machinery such as Mills, Lathes, or CNC machining centers in a manufacturing or factory setting. Knowledge of Haas Machines is preferred but not required. Knowledge of CNC control systems is preferred. Experience with a variety of materials: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics. Familiarity CAM programming, MasterCam, SolidWorks or CAD software is a plus. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical measurements using calipers or micrometers. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine adjustments required for precise machining. Capable of holding tolerances of + / - .0005. Ability to work overtime, as needed.
