DOE We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in the Broussard area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machinery and be comfortable working from blueprints, drawings, and job specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented machinist looking for long-term employment with a local industrial manufacturing company. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and machining specifications Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools Make machine adjustments, tool changes, and offsets as needed Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy Inspect finished and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality of completed parts Perform basic troubleshooting and identify machining issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with tooling inventory Follow all company safety and quality procedures Meet production schedules while maintaining a high standard of workmanship Qualifications 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred Previous experience setting up and operating CNC machinery Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to perform basic shop math and understand measurements and tolerances G-code/M-code or CNC programming experience is a plus Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, or similar control experience is a plus Oilfield or industrial machining experience is preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Ability to safely lift and handle materials and parts as required #insj
