Experience with drill presses and/or engine lathes. Ability to read and work from blueprints and drawings. Desired Experience (Not Required): The company is working with: 5 Miyano lathes (dual spindle, 5-axis) with Fanuc controls. 1 Haas milling machine. 2 Mazak machines, all using G-code programming.

Purpose:

Operate and maintain various machines such as drill presses, engine lathes, and CNC machines.

General Requirements:

Ability to perform basic CNC machine operations while working from blueprints, drawings, and procedures. Ability to communicate in English and understand and follow oral and written English instructions. 1-3 years of related work experience. More experience is required for II and III. Able to read and understand basic CNC programs. Ability to perform quality checks using verniers, micrometers, ring gages, plug gages, and pin gages. Willingness to work in a team-based environment and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities:

Understand process improvement, component identification, material identification, and inventory awareness. Reduce lead times by following preset and setup processes. May set up, operate, and maintain drill presses and turret lathes. Set up, operate, and maintain one or more CNC machines. Work from production orders to perform designated operations. Maintain acceptable quality and quantity levels. Assist with bar stock put-away, cut bar stock materials, clean parts, and separate and maintain waste chips and daily scrap levels. Process all necessary adjustments to machines, including offset wear and geometry. Maintain coolant and oil levels on all machines. Follow work orders, blueprints, and standard instructions during machine setup. Change collets, tool inserts, tool blocks, and tool holders. Perform basic-level maintenance on machines as directed. Enter programs for pre-programmed parts. Eliminate non-value-added activities. Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety procedures.
