Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Machinist and become a vital contributor to precision metalworking excellence! In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC lathes and CNC multi-tasking lathes to produce high-quality components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint reading, and measurement instruments will ensure that every part meets strict quality standards. This position offers an energetic environment where your mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills drive manufacturing success and innovation. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring proper tool selection, machine calibration, and safety procedures are followed. Minor program edits using G-code, and M-code to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM machines, and other measurement tools for quality control purposes. Conduct machine inspections and quality checks during production runs to maintain tight tolerances and adherence to GD&T standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including manual machining stations, grinders, and assembly zones. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by adjusting machine parameters including feeds and speeds, or tooling as needed to optimize performance. Assist in machine setup, calibration, and maintenance to ensure continuous operation with minimal downtime. Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of CNC programming using G-code and M-code. Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting GD&T specifications for precision manufacturing. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and feed rates in machining processes. Understanding of CNC quality inspection procedures to ensure parts meet strict specifications before final approval.
