As our Horizonal Boring Mill (HBM) Operato r, you'll safely set-up, adjust, and operate CNC machinery for precision cutting and shaping steel pipes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in CNC operations, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all products meet quality standards while maintaining efficiency and safety. This is a 3rd shift position with a work schedule of Sunday
  • Thursday, 9:00pm
  • 5:30am with potential to train on 1st shift, Monday
  • Friday, 5:00am
  • 1:30pm.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
HBM Setup & Operation:
Safely set-up, adjust, and run Horizontal Boring Mill, including loading programs and entering machine codes.
Tooling and Fixtures:
Accurately select tooling, set fixtures, and perform efficient machine changeover to minimize downtime.
Quality and Inspection:
Maintain high-quality standards by understanding machining tolerances. Use precision tools like tape measures and calipers to verify all dimensions. Operate overhead cranes skillfully to load/unload heavy steel parts, tooling, and materials. Understand, demonstrate, and enforce proper safety practices, part orientation and hazard avoidance. Maximize process flow and efficiency while maintaining a clean, organized and efficient work area. Work collaboratively, supporting teammates to ensure a smooth production rhythm and positive shop culture. Maintain organized and safe work areas, ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing solutions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of prior experience in heavy steel manufacturing, steel fabrication, manufacturing or related industry with experience in CNC machining and operation. Ability to accurately perform measurements and inspect parts to determine if they meet specified tolerances using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and tape measures. Strong quality mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent time management and prioritization skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment such as grinders and hand drills. Commitment to workplace safety following OSHA standards & protocols and quality standards. Steel-toe boots, sleeved shirts are required —your personal gear shows you're ready to get the job done right! We've got you covered with the rest: Trinity provides all essential PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and protective gloves. Experience operating an overhead crane is a big plus—but if you don't have it yet, we'll help you get there. Comfortable working in varied ambient temperatures —you're not afraid to tackle real-world conditions.
