Job Description

CNC Machinist Columbus, MS | $29-$32/hour We're seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in operating and maintaining large bed milling machines to support the manufacturing of precision components. What You'll Do Operate and maintain large bed CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components to tight tolerance specifications Read, interpret, and apply complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to ensure machining accuracy Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, setup discrepancies, and machining inefficiencies to minimize downtime Perform first-article inspections and continuous in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams on complex geometries and specialized materials Assist in developing, editing, and optimizing CNC programs (G-code or CAM software), particularly for multi-axis machines Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area What You'll Need 3+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment; large bed CNC milling machine experience strongly preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills Advanced ability to interpret engineering drawings with GD&T Familiarity with CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas); CAM software experience a plus High school diploma or GED required Completion of a formal CNC machining program, trade school, or apprenticeship preferred MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
