High SchoolResponsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to produce precise cylindrical parts. Load program parameters and adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds based on material specifications. Change and index cutting tools, inserts, and collets as required by tool wear and job setups. Verify part dimensions against blueprints using precision measuring hand tools such as calipers and micrometers. Document production yields, part defects, and equipment downtime logs throughout the shift.
