Job Description

Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications and tolerances. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, including Fanuc controls. Set up CNC lathes and milling machines, including tooling selection and machine calibration. Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring operations for accuracy and quality. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections of machined parts through CNC quality inspection techniques and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Adjust machine parameters as needed to meet specifications and optimize production efficiency. Maintain detailed logs of machine settings, production data, and inspection results. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling improvements and process enhancements. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machines such as lathes, mills, or grinders in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code, M-code, and Fanuc controls. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or CAD drafting tools. Familiarity with CAM programming for toolpath generation. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and mechanical blueprint interpretation skills. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Mechanical knowledge including machining tools, manual machining techniques, and machine setup procedures. Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and bore gauges. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes. Understanding of GD&T principles for precise measurement in machining. Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to metal machining and CNC quality inspection.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
