Job Description

Work Schedule:
Weekend Shift — Friday-Sunday 6am-6:30pm SUMMARY The CNC Punch Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Trumpf CNC punch equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth production flow, precision, and safety on the shop floor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Functions Set up and operate Trumpf CNC punch machines according to production schedules. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part fabrication. Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on punch equipment. Use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tapes, gauges) to verify part quality. Build punch tooling for jobs as needed. Safely unload and handle parts after cutting operations. Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials. Maintain productivity standards while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Follow all OSHA, company safety, and equipment maintenance procedures. Promote teamwork, positive communication, and adherence to company values. Follow all verbal and written instructions, as well as safety and quality protocols. Lead and support a team of production employees to meet daily output, quality, and efficiency goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience operating CNC punch equipment (Trumpf experience preferred). Familiarity with automation and CNC troubleshooting. Familiar with varying types of sheet metal (aluminum, galvanized, galvanneal, stainless, etc.). Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools. Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent judgment, decision-making, and communication skills. Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
