ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Snelling is recruiting a CNC / Automated Trim Machine Operator for a well-established Lubbock manufacturer. We are seeking candidates with experience in CNC machine operation, Beck Automation, sheet metal fabrication, metal roofing/trim production, press brakes, folders, roll forming, or other computer-controlled manufacturing equipment. Direct Beck Automation experience is highly desirable but NOT required. If you have CNC or automated machine experience and understand machine setup, measurements, computerized controls, and production processes, we want to talk to you. The company is willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate. Starting pay is based on experience and the amount of training required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• S et up and operate automated trim/fabrication machinery
• Use computerized machine controls and touchscreen interfaces to generate and modify parts
• Read work orders, cut lists, measurements, and production specifications
• Adjust machine settings to meet production requirements
• Produce metal trim and fabricated components to specification
• Accurately use tape measures and other measuring instruments
• Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy
• Troubleshoot minor machine and production issues
• Load and handle sheet metal and production materials
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and equipment cleaning
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain production goals

QUALIFICATIONS

• C NC, automated machine, metal fabrication, or industrial equipment experience preferred
• Beck Automation experience is a major plus
• Metal roofing, trim folder, press brake, roll forming, or sheet metal experience is highly desirable
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure, including fractions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable operating computerized machine controls
• Ability to read specifications and production instructions
• Detail-oriented and quality focused
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus

PAY & ADVANCEMENT

$18.00

• 25.00/hr DOE + Overtime Candidates with direct CNC, Beck Automation, automated fabrication, or metal forming experience may qualify toward the upper end of the starting range. Successful 90-day evaluation = $2.00/hr raise, with additional $2.00
