CNC Programmer Req #4879 Alabaster, AL, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 2:00 AM | Expires Saturday, November 21, 2026 at 1:59 AM Job Summary Develops, edits, and optimizes CNC programs and tool paths for Haas VF-3 vertical machining centers and VF-2 drilling machines in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for creating and editing tool paths for machining operations on the VF-3, and writing, editing, and optimizing production drilling programs for the VF-2, in addition to setting up and operating the assigned CNC equipment. Job Duties Create, edit, and optimize CNC tool paths/programs for Haas VF-3 vertical machining centers Write, edit, and optimize production drilling programs (G-code) for VF-2 drilling machines Set up and operate assigned VF-3 and

machines, including tooling, offsets, and workholding Check that items produced pass quality control requirements Verify new and edited programs via graphics/dry-run and first-article inspection before releasing to production Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments or repairs Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications Use required gaging instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators) to verify part dimensions and tolerances Collaborate with team members to increase overall throughput Consult with management and help with training Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring when needed Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Perform work under minimal supervision Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher level staff Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter Over 5 years of experience, including hands-on CNC programming and setup on Haas (or similar) vertical machining and drilling equipment Competencies/ Skills Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directions Intermediate verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to write and edit CNC tool paths and G-code/M-code programs for VF-3 mills and VF-2 drilling machines Advanced use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments Problem-solving skills Leadership skills Job Details Job Family Tooling Toolroom Pay Type Hourly Scan this QR code and apply!
