You load material, call up the program, verify offsets, and bring a part to life on a Mazak or Okuma lathe. After first‑article inspection and a few thoughtful tweaks, you switch over to a Haas or Okuma VMC to tackle a multi‑face milling sequence. Throughout the day (or night—both shifts are available), you keep machines dialed in, document what you run, and leave each setup better than you found it. What you'll do Set up and run CNC lathes and mills to meet print and CAD/CAM specifications. Decode blueprints, drawings, and CAD models to determine tooling, workholding, and sequence. Hold tight tolerances through in‑process checks and final inspection to spec. Keep machines performing at their best through basic maintenance and troubleshooting. Record setups, part counts, and any program/offset changes with clear notes. Follow safety practices and maintain an organized, clean workstation. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent (technical machining certificate or degree preferred). At least 2 years of hands‑on CNC experience with both mills and lathes. Working knowledge of CNC programming and G‑code. Fluency with precision measurement (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and GD&T symbols. Ability to interpret technical documents and engineering drawings. Sharp problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong teamwork/communication.
