CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist

We specialize in precision machining, complex components, tight tolerances, and meeting critical customer delivery schedules. We are looking for an experienced, motivated CNC Mill Programmer / Setup Machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality parts and enjoys working in a precision manufacturing environment. • and 5-axis CNC milling machines using Mastercam, ESPRIT, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, NX CAM, hyperMILL, or comparable CAM software. Independently set up CNC machines, including tooling, workholding, fixtures, and offsets. Develop efficient machining strategies for complex precision components. Perform program prove-outs, first-piece inspections, and machining adjustments. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications. Machine aerospace, medical, tooling, and other precision components. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot machining issues, improve cycle times, and optimize programs. Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications Required:

Hands-on CNC milling programming and setup experience. Experience with Mastercam or comparable CAM programming software. Ability to independently program, set up, and prove out CNC jobs. Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills. Understanding of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, materials, and machining processes. Ability to work independently and solve machining problems.

Highly Preferred:

Experience with 5-axis CNC milling and multi-axis programming. Aerospace or medical precision machining experience. Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other challenging materials. Knowledge of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining. Experience taking complex parts from CAD models through first-article inspection. We value demonstrated machining ability over experience with any single CAM software package. Compensation $28

•50 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated capabilities. Compensation will reflect the candidate's programming skills, independent setup abilities, multi-axis experience, and ability to produce quality parts efficiently. What We're Looking For We want a machinist who understands the complete manufacturing process — not just someone who can push cycle start. The ideal candidate can take a part from a CAD model or blueprint, develop a machining strategy, program the part, set up the machine, prove out the program, and produce a quality finished component.
