USPRO Talent Solutions is partnering with an established precision manufacturing company in Central Connecticut seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support complex, close-tolerance machining operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on CNC programming experience, advanced CAD/CAM knowledge, and the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize machining programs for sophisticated multi-axis equipment. This opportunity offers the chance to work on challenging aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing projects involving complex precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify complex 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC programs. Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications. Utilize SURFCAM to program CNC machining operations. Perform test runs and adjust programs to meet specifications. Select cutting tools, machining methods, and setup requirements. Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, and operator instructions. Maintain program records and manufacturing documentation. Collaborate with operators to troubleshoot machining issues. Train operators and support equipment maintenance procedures.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of CNC programming and machining experience. SURFCAM programming experience required. Experience programming complex 3-, 4-, or 5-axis operations. Strong CNC milling knowledge and machining fundamentals. Ability to interpret blueprints, routing sheets, and specifications. Experience with close tolerances, threading, and complex machining. Strong math, geometry, communication, and troubleshooting skills. Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with large or complex multi-axis machining. Aerospace, defense, marine, or precision manufacturing background. Experience training operators and supporting shop-floor operations.
