We're launching a dedicated second shift to support continued growth, and we're looking for CNC machinists at every level who want to build their skills. If you can run and inspect your own work — and you want to learn setups, CAM programming, and multi-axis machining — we'll teach you the rest. Your pay grows as your skills do. We Build Things That Change the World For more than 56 years, Meyer Tool has manufactured precision components for national laboratories, aerospace programs, universities, and scientific research organizations. We don't run thousands of identical production parts. Our machinists solve new manufacturing challenges every week, producing one-of-a-kind and short-run components for cryogenic, vacuum, pressure, and research applications. You'll work closely with engineers, welders, inspectors, and fellow machinists to bring complex ideas to life. You'll Train on Day Shift First Every second-shift hire starts on day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.
3:30 p.m.), learning our parts and processes alongside our experienced machinists and engineers. You move to nights when you're ready — not before. What You'll Do From day one: Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes Read blueprints and hold tight tolerances Inspect your own work and stand behind it Troubleshoot tooling and machining challenges As you grow: Program parts in Fusion 360 CAM Run 4
and 5-axis work Help coordinate shift priorities and mentor newer machinists Equipment You'll Work With Hurco 5-Axis Mills, Hurco 3 & 4-Axis Mills, Hurco TMM10
Turning Center, Haas Mills & Lathes, G&L Horizontal Boring Mill, Manual Mills & Lathes, Bullard VTL What We're Looking For Requirements:
Hands-on CNC machining experience Blueprint reading Attention to quality — you inspect your own work Reliable, positive, team-first attitude Problem-solving mindset
Lead Preferences:
Independent setups on mills and lathes GD&T proficiency and tight-tolerance inspection CAM programming (Fusion 360 preferred) Multi-axis machining High-mix, low-volume / job shop background Manual machining Mentoring or leadership experience Experienced machinist programmers: the top of the range and the lead role are real — we're building this shift around the right person.
