This is a direct hire role This role programs, sets up, and operates horizontal CNC milling equipment to produce precision-machined turbine and power generation components, working from blueprints and engineering specifications to hold tight tolerances on high-value parts. Candidates with direct horizontal machining center experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate horizontal CNC milling machines to machine precision parts for steam and gas turbine applications. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications to determine machining sequence and setup. Develop, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs (G-code and/or CAM-based programming) for horizontal milling operations. Select proper tooling, fixtures, and work-holding methods for each job. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, adjusting speeds, feeds, and offsets as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with plant safety standards. Communicate effectively with shift leads and quality personnel regarding job status and any part discrepancies. Qualifications 5+ years of CNC mill set-up and programming experience. Experience on horizontal CNC machines required. Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills. Solid understanding of G-code and/or CAM-based programming. Ability to work independently on 1st shift with minimal supervision. Prior experience in turbine, power generation, or heavy industrial machining a plus
Pay:
Up to $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
