CNC G-code Programming Full Job Description Description:

Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Will work hand in hand with management on continuous process improvement. Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
• Program and or load established program and run to print specifications. Load and calibrate tooling as well as monitor tooling for wear replacement. Check materials for amount and rough-cut parameters.
• Program toolpaths to latest optimum tooling technology (will train if needed).
• Monitor spindle and axis load as well as reading of chip formation and inspection of surface finishes (will train if needed).
• Optimize run to equal or exceed previous run times. Identify problems of run issues from insufficient tooling, fixturing, process, etc. Goal is continuous improvement.
• Inspection of manufactured part to meet print tolerance/description.
• Document set up and run information for future runs to reduce set up times thereafter.
• Put away and/or organize unused tooling as well as supporting fixturing, fasteners and related components.
• General knowledge of Inspection is required. Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintain good housekeeping in your department.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements. Is required to follow manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Maintain professional communication among department co-workers.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organizations goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Skills and Specifications
• Conceptual skills, process improvement, must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, functional and technical skills, controls and instrumentation, supply management, tooling, coordination, inventory control, attention to detail and good judgement.
• Possess manual dexterity, good eyesight and must be in good physical condition.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
• Will be required to follow deadlines and the Company policy.
• Good attitude, team player with goals towards becoming an important asset for the Company as well as personal growth for the employee.
