Express Employment Professionals is searching for a CNC Set-Up Technician for an established Michigan manufacturing company specializing in precision production machining and the manufacturing of machined components for industrial and automotive applications. The company provides CNC machining, production machining, tooling, and related manufacturing services, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to join a manufacturing environment where they will support CNC machining operations, tooling, automation, production setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities, CNC programming experience, and experience working with Fanuc controls and/or robotic automation. Employment Type Direct Hire Shifts 1st (6AM-4:30PM) 2nd (4:30PM-3AM) Monday-Friday Occasional 6AM-2:30PM (1st) or 2PM-10:30PM (2nd) OT Day on Saturdays (mandatory) Pay Up to $34/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Essential Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoot tooling, process concerns, and chronic CNC machine problems. Edit and adjust CNC programs as needed. Test new products, tooling, carbide inserts, and workholding solutions. Complete production changeovers and assist with maintenance activities involving grinders, robots, broaches, and CNC equipment. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities. Perform production setups, including chucks, collets, and tool bars. Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications. Identify opportunities for cycle-time reductions and improved production efficiency. Participate in

activities and assist with implementation of new manufacturing processes. Reteach Fanuc robots and assist Engineering with automation of production cells. Assist with operator training related to machining, preventive maintenance, and designated training programs. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly maintained tool room and work area. Follow all housekeeping, safety, environmental, recycling, labeling, spill-response, and related workplace requirements. Comply with applicable Quality and Environmental Management System requirements. Identify and submit ideas for improvements in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Required Qualifications Previous CNC machine setup and process troubleshooting experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Manufacturing experience with CNC machines and related equipment. Experience with grinders, hobs, shapers, broaches, and/or heat-treat processes preferred. CNC programming experience and familiarity with Fanuc controls. Experience with Fanuc robots preferred. Understanding of technical mathematics and tool geometry. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T. Knowledge and proper use of tool room equipment. Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and identify process-related issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
