Position Overview Betallic is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist who can independently program, set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC equipment while taking ownership of parts from engineering drawing through final inspection.

Requirements:

Responsibilities Program Parts:

Create and edit CNC programs using Mastercam or equivalent CAM software.

Set Up Machines:

Select tooling, build custom fixtures, and perform machine setups on CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.

Operate & Monitor:

Run production, verify cutting parameters, and make necessary tool, offset, and machine adjustments.

Inspect Quality:

Use calipers, micrometers, CMM equipment, and other precision measuring tools to verify parts against blueprints and GD&T requirements.

Troubleshoot:

Identify and resolve machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues to maintain quality, safety, and production efficiency.

Improve Processes:

Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, tooling, fixtures, cycle times, and overall shop efficiency.

Qualifications Experience:

5+ years of CNC machining experience, with demonstrated CNC programming experience.

Software:

Strong proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software .

Technical Knowledge:

Advanced knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, speeds, feeds, machining processes, and GD&T.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Inspection:

Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.

Independence:

Proven ability to work independently from setup through final part completion and inspection .

Problem Solving:

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues effectively.
