Position Summary A custom precision machine shop in Athens County is seeking a motivated and reliable CNC machinist and programmer to join their team. This role offers a hands‐on environment with growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities Operate or assist with operating manual lathes and O.D. grinder Conversational programming Support machining, fabrication, and shop production tasks as assigned Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines This is a direct-hire, full-time position hiring immediately. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM and Fridays are 7:30 AM to 11AM. Pay is competitive. This employer has PTO, paid holidays, and health insurance is available. Qualifications 3-5 years machining experience Conversational control programming Experience with CNC lathes and CNC mill Experience with MasterCam is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills Reliable, dedicated, and committed to high-quality work Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
