This position requires demonstrated proficiency with FeatureCAM, along with a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, G-code and M-code, tooling, workholding, engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing efficient, accurate, and repeatable machining processes using FeatureCAM; creating and optimizing CNC programs; supporting machine setups and production operations; and troubleshooting programming and machining issues. This individual will work closely with machinists, engineers, quality personnel, and production leadership to ensure parts meet dimensional, quality, and production requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while identifying opportunities to improve cycle times, tool life, process reliability, and overall manufacturing efficiency. Key Responsibilities CNC Programming and Process Development Develop, write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining operations using FeatureCAM. Utilize FeatureCAM to generate toolpaths, select machining strategies, define cutting operations, and create production-ready CNC programs. Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications to develop effective machining processes. Select appropriate cutting tools and establish toolpaths, speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and machining parameters to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes. Develop and maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and machining instructions. Verify CNC programs using FeatureCAM simulation and other available verification methods to identify potential collisions, programming errors, and machining inefficiencies before production. Create, organize, maintain, and revise CNC program files and supporting documentation. Modify existing programs to accommodate engineering changes, design revisions, tooling updates, and process improvements. Ensure generated CNC code and post-processed programs are appropriate for the intended machine and control configuration. Machine Setup and Production Support Support CNC machine setups, first-piece production, and program prove-out activities. Work with CNC machinists and operators to ensure programs are properly loaded, verified, and executed. Establish and verify work coordinates, tool offsets, workholding requirements, and machine parameters. Troubleshoot programming, tooling, fixturing, and machining issues and implement effective corrective actions. Provide technical support during production runs to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and process consistency. Adjust programs and machining strategies as needed to address production challenges and improve repeatability. Collaborate with production personnel to ensure machining processes are practical, safe, and efficient. Quality and Continuous Improvement Ensure CNC programs support established quality standards, engineering requirements, and dimensional tolerances. Support first-piece, in-process, and final inspection activities as required. Use inspection results and production feedback to identify and correct programming or process-related issues. Apply GD&T principles and precision measurement requirements when developing and validating machining processes. Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, tooling costs, setup times, scrap, and rework. Evaluate alternative tooling, machining strategies, and cutting parameters to improve productivity and tool life. Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities related to machining and quality issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process standardization, repeatability, and manufacturing efficiency. Equipment, Safety, and Documentation Maintain accurate program revisions, setup documentation, tooling records, and process instructions. Follow established programming standards, machine safety requirements, quality procedures, and company work instructions. Support routine equipment care and identify machine or tooling conditions that may affect machining performance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with production, engineering, quality, and management personnel regarding program status, process changes, and production concerns. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training, machining certification, or an associate degree in manufacturing technology or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience, or a combination of CNC machining and programming experience.

Required:
