CNC Programmer / Machinist (Haas Milling)

Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Haas CNC milling machines while also supporting manual machining operations and quality inspection activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks CAM , Haas controls, blueprint reading, GD&T, and maintaining tight tolerances in a precision machining environment. ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & Haas Milling Operations Develop, optimize, simulate, and post-process CNC programs using SolidWorks CAM for 3-axis machining applications. Set up, adjust, and operate Haas CNC milling machines . Manage tool changes, work offsets, tool offsets, and cutting parameters at the machine controller. Edit and optimize G-code directly at the machine to troubleshoot issues, improve cycle times, and adapt to material variations. Ensure machines are producing quality parts while maintaining production schedules. Manual Machining & Production Setup Machine parts to print specifications using manual lathes and milling machines. Set up and align vises, fixtures, tooling, attachments, and accessories. Prepare machines and tooling for efficient production runs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Quality Control & Inspection Calculate dimensions and tolerances using shop mathematics and precision measuring tools. Inspect components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision equipment. Verify finished products meet engineering drawings and GD&T requirements. Perform routine in-process and final inspections on completed parts. Document quality results and identify opportunities for process improvement. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Experience programming and operating CNC milling machines. Proficiency with SolidWorks CAM or similar CAM software. Experience with Haas CNC controls . Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Associate's Degree in Machine Tool Technology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Experience with manual lathes and milling machines. Ability to edit G-code directly at the machine.
