$25.00-$32.00 (Depending on Experience)Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will develop and optimize CNC machine programs to ensure precise and efficient production of metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling setup, and measurement will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and productivity on a variety of advanced machining equipment. Duties Program CNC & Wire EDM to create profiles for Extrusion Operations & Maintenance. Develop, test, and refine CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathes, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to accurately translate design specifications into machine instructions. Set up CNC machining tools and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and calibration using precision measurement instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Optimize machining processes by applying lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality. Troubleshoot programming issues or machining defects promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Conduct quality control inspections utilizing precision measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy against specifications. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling designs, machining parameters, and overall manufacturing processes. Qualifications Proven experience programming CNC machinery such as Fanuc controls, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or 5-axis CNC machines. Strong knowledge of CAD software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for engineering design and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with CAM software for generating tool paths and machining strategies. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Mechanical knowledge with experience in metal machining processes like electrical discharge machining (EDM) is preferred. Skilled in measuring parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement in production workflows. Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances required for precision machining.
